November!

Yes, we're a little behind. Just a little front, too.

Our first November adventure was up to the little town of Elk in Mendocino County. On the way, we stopped off at a little vinyard. I thought I'd soak up the atmosphere a little bit while Mom tried the local grape.

By the time we got to our little place on the water in Elk, Mom for some reason felt kind of groggy.

Well, perhaps a little time at the beach will liven this crowd up.

Now it's Thanksgiving, my very first! Cousins, cousins! And some "Patches" person or creature as well.

Grannies! Grannies!

My father tells me I could have a fine career as a musical instrument, so I'm starting out as a cavaquinho.

freyac062.jpg

Whew, all that was a bit exhausting. Time for a little nap time before more holidays come our way.

Then a whole bunch of other indivuals...

Some were kinda sleepy.

Latest "Firsts": an uncle, a holiday, sitting up, and more

The Firsts are coming fast and furious. First off, I met my only 'real' uncle and his girlfriend.
freyac045.jpg

Then I got my first Halloween costume tried on!
freyac046.jpg

And get this, I'm sitting up -- briefly...
freyac047.jpg

But I'm still doing all my classics: sleeping, saying "Guh!", looking around, you name it.

aunties + mommies: more from LA

Well, now I've met Grannie Annie's sisters and brothers. There's quite a few of them and I really enjoy their manner of speaking. And so sweet!

And somehow we got a digital picture from our earlier incarnation in ancient Hellas.

And, yes, there were even a few quiet moments with Mom.

La La Land

Rolled into the southland last weekend with the parental units. My main gig was singing the lead in a new production of Aida.
freyac036.jpg

As you know, I'm a gem of many facets. Lately I've been polishing up the angst/euphoria axis.
freyac037.jpg

After a big weekend on the road, I discovered that the greatest pleasures are basic ones that can be enjoyed anywhere. You know, there's nothing I like better than hanging out in the sling of that big, funny looking guy.

Babyfest

Wow, that's plenty of babies. I don't know who these kids are, but they somehow seem oddly familiar.

Exhausted–whew, long weekend

There was just so much to keep me busy this weekend, I'm exhausted. So much to yawn and sigh about, like yawning and sighing. And don't get me started on hiccups...

Seaside

Mom and Dad took me to the beach at Capitola.
freyac015.jpg

I met my Aunt K. and my cousins for the first time. I guess I made a big impression.
freyac016.jpg
freyac017.jpg

Laying around on the beach is pretty cool.
freyac018.jpg

It turns out my cousins must be talented because they won a big prize for their sandcastle. The castle was guarded by an enormous and fearsome dragon.
freyac020.jpg

Afterwards, we stopped by Tia T's to get social with my unofficial godparents.

OK, enough chin music. Now's the time for a bit of quality hammock time. And I was ready for it, too, let me tell ya.

Grandmas are Good!

Lately I've discovered I have these spectacular things called grandmothers. Who knew?
freyac010.jpg
freyac011.jpg

You see how I'm just too shy to say how much I enjoyed meeting my grandmas?
freyac012.jpg

Life's too good -- mom and grandma too?

Granddads are awfully sweet, too. Mine makes fun sounds.

Biggest outing yet

Tuesday was exhausting. First I had to go to the pediatrician for the first time. Although I slept through most of it, it was exhausting. Just getting dressed and into the car was such a bother.

Then there was the big walk to the farmer's market. My Dad took me, but I guess I slept through that one. Well, it was exhausting anyhow.

Here I am!

Whew, I'm exhausted. I'm finally home with my parents and Grandmother Nonna in Berkeley. I was born on Thursday night. My parents arrived at the hosipital on Wednesday morning for a test and didn't return home until a few minutes ago.

So here are the basic facts:

I was delivered at 9:47 PM (21:47)
I weighed 8 lbs 8 ounces, 21 inches long.
I was wide-eyed but a bit confused and blurry in the first moment. And blue... As I got cleaned up I met my father, then a few minutes later, my grandmother Nonna. Such a busy social life. Sorry, sleepy now.... a few photos before I go...

Here's my mom a few days before I arrived, walking around on Mt. Tamalpais and wondering what's taking me so long.

At the hospital, getting to know ma my first full day in the world.

Got a bit tired.

I'm starting to get the hang of this.

My dad looks so tired and then he starts calling me "wee bairn". What's up with that?
