So I'm thinking that if we lost everything in a tsunami-type event, we could move to Tilden and hunt berries and mushrooms. Or maybe live in Golden Gate Park and make Tilden our pied a terre.

Giddyup!

I guess there may be a few reasons to get out of bed in the mornin'.

Time for a little taffy pull...

Some days there's no real reason to get out of bed.

For some reason my folks ain't flying us to Sundance this weekend. What's up with that? How am I supposed to break in to the biz?

new year? I wasn't totally done with the old year

Lots and lots to report. First off, I was still swimming in a sea of gifties post-holidaylike.

Just after the holiday, Granny A. showed me everything there is to know about lights on big, festive tree-type apparatuses.

Hollerin' bout that Holiday

Rule Number One for enjoying the holidays: start out clean.

freyac068.jpg

Now, it's OK to dwell on holidays past while new holidays happen. Even in the middle of the very major holidays. For instance, I have this thing for Halloween. So even in the midst of Christmas spirit, I still secretly revel in my favorite October fest.

freyac069.jpg

Of course, even when you're into the wrong holiday, that Christmas spirit can sneak up on you and suprise you, even when you're just minding your own business in your jammies.

freyac070.jpg

Like most people, I tend to wax reflective at this time of year.

freyac071.jpg

Even candy canes can be upright citizens. Even if I am dressed up as a candy cane.

freyac072.jpg

You know that moment at Thanksgiving when you just can't look at another bite of turkey? Christmas? Same thing -- but with presents, wrapping, and bows.

Blasts from the Past

Ah, that warm, special place. I was so very happy.

freyac064.jpg

So here I am, like a piece of luggage that's just appeared on the carousel.

Then I met Mom.

freyac066.jpg

And Grandfather!
